Project GRAD programs: Juanita's Diary: Stage DVD

RAIDERS ROJOS presents the stage production of Juanita’s Diary for the first time on DVD. Follow young Juanita Garcia as she travels with her family following the crops. See the struggles of the migrant families in the 1960’s and learn the social, economic, political and educational atmosphere of the time. You will cry with them as working conditions present a series of obstacles to overcome. You will hold your breath in worry and remembrance as they send loved ones off to war. You will be inspired by their abundance of faith and optimism despite the odds. The historical references and Hispanic culture provide a dynamic background for the journey of Juanita from a young field worker to a college graduate and teacher. It is an inspiring message of hope, perseverance, acceptance, and diversity.
