Project GRAD programs: Scholarships

$500 Club Members

Raiders Rojos initiated this program in 2005 and already has eight donors committed to underwriting an annual scholarship for Hispanic students at Texas Tech. Recipients are selected in the Fall, recognized at a Texas Tech football game, and awarded the scholarship in the spring. The 2007 recipients will be selected by September 20, 2006 by the scholarship committee. Members of the Latino/Hispanic Faculty & Staff Association comprise the scholarship committee. Donors get to meet the recipients of their scholarships during the Annual Homecoming Almuerzo. Both will be recognized on October 7th during Homecoming game festivities down on the field. TTU President Jon Whitmore joined the $500 Club Donors and Scholarship Recipients on the football field during the 2005 Homecoming Game. Raiders Rojos will be recognizing the 2006 participants at the Oct 7 Homecoming Game.
